We (husband, wife and 15 year old son) had a great time at Il Pigionale. It is the quintessential Tuscan villa. Located in a small village on a hilltip. The village has an excellant restaraunt, butcher, fruit shop and small supermarket. Under the house was a fully equipped laundry, that came in handy. The owners of the villa were fantastic. Waiting for us was one bottle of white wine and one bottle of red. We also took up the option of a free cooking lesson with Marina in their home (about 20 kms away). It was a highlight of our trip. We make pasta, meat dish plus a pie for desert, all from first principles. Then we ate the diner together with their family. Sensational. They are perfect hosts. The villa is centally located to all points in Tuscany, although a car is essential. The villa is beatifully finished. I am sure you would not be disappointed. Highly recommended.

We had such an amazing time! The castle was so wonderful and the staff
that we did come in contact with were all so great! We spent one
morning just walking the castle grounds; exploring and admiring the
beauty! Our room was wonderful! We only had to pay for heat the first
night, as there was no one to turn ours off when we arrived at 9:30pm.
The temperture in the room without the heat was perfect! We like the
colder weather.

We will definitely be returning to Italy. We would like to return to
Montegufoni. The surrounding areas were great! Everyone we ran into in
the cafes and coop's were so nice and welcoming.

We recently stayed at the Castello di Montegufoni, and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. LeTizia and Giuseppe were wonderful at accomodating their guests. The property was clean and beautiful. The views were spectacular. Our apartment was everything we expected. We had more than enough space, and slept well in the quiet of the castle. The castle was an easy drive to Florence, Lucca, Siena, Pisa, San Gimagnano, the Chianti area, the coast, and other attractions. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone considering a vacation in the Tuscany region. Thank you for making our vacation a truly memorable Tuscan experience.

I can not think of a more perfect setting to relax and unwind. The view was amazing. Marco could not have been more hospitable and he makes an amazing pesto!!! We will definitely be back!

The location was fantastic and property was beautiful. Barbara was wonderful. We could not have asked for anything more. Previous visitors left ideas about places to shop and go. Was the best part of our European vacation!

The chalet Pierval is centrally located and well furnished. We would highly recommend it. If you wanna ski halfday, be there before 1 o'clock or you'll find the agency for the keys closed until 4!

Photos did not do the property justice - beautiful countryside! Villa was great except the oven didn't work. Amazing area of Italy, great base for exploring Tuscany.

Villa Caprera was a wonderful place to stay, the feeling of the property retained its old world charm with all the facilities of a modern property. The hosts were gracious and we could not have hoped for better. The location is about 3km from Sienna so a car is necessary.

We throroughly enjoyed our week in Casa Di Vignolo. We arrived after an unexpected snowfall, and were warmly welcomed by the owner and their son who had made sure the villa was lovely and warm for our arrival. They showed us how everything worked and even walked us around the village to show us the butcher, minimart, pharmacy, bakery etc. They could not have been more welcoming. Our whole family of 6 enjoyed the cooking lesson and the following dinner with the owner's family. A real experience of Tuscany. The snow melted during the day after our arrival and it was lovely to see the countryside change from white to green - I am not sure which is more beautiful. A fantastic experience.
