Fubbiano is perfect in its simplicity. It's not an eight star, luxury, gold tiles place, but it has the real 10 star Tuscan charm and warmth. A week in the Villa offers possibilities for both leisuring by the pool and excursions to Lucca, Firenze or Pisa. Or just a stroll to San Gennaro to eat lunch in the family run restaurant in the piazza. Or you could, as we did, hire local cook Roberta to work her magic with both antipasti, primi, secondi and dolce. And, of course, you have to ask Chiara for some of the Fubbiano wine (we love the Schiller Rosé!) and their incredible Olive Oil. Fubbiano is perfect for those not in need of luxury, but in need of a quiet, peaceful and just perfect getaway in the heart of Tuscany.
We had our wedding at this castle and stayed there for a week with our guests. Valentina was superb in helping us plan the wedding from abroad and her suggestions were absolutely fabulous. Our guests simply rave about the wedding ceremony/reception and the whole event and Valentina was the one who made it all happen: she is a true professional! The castle itself is simply marvellous, full of history, very functional and the staff (including Giuseppe who makes sure everything is in working order) are very kind and helpful. This week was by far one of our best vacations ever and the wedding is recognized by all our guests as just amazing!
What a wonderful place! We were a family (kids 6 and 8 years old) and enjoyed the villa very much. A lot of room, everything was very tidy and the garden well kept. As the villa is 800m above the sea it got quite cold in the evening which was suprise for us. Also the water in the swimming pool was cold. On the other side it didn't get too cold during the day which was good. Nice hiking trails leaving nearby. And the pizzeria couple of kilometres down is really recommendable.
We had a family reunion at the villa with many nationalities. Ages ranging from 60 to 78 . One was in a wheelchair and Riccado made a ramp for us. It could have been difficult but the villa and gardens are so relaxing everyone enjoyed themselves. The swimming pool and rose terrace were very popular. Riccado and Stefania cooked a fantastic meal to welcome us all.
Very nice place. Close to the city so can walk on the morning to get some espresso from the local bar. The house is good with all the things you need for coking.
We were with two families and was lots of space. We Will visit this place for sure one more time.
We very much enjoyed the Villa, with it's beautiful view or Montepulciano, beautiful terrace, and lovely interior. The furnishings were comfortable and in very good taste. The kitchen was fully equipped. We enjoyed our dinner or drinks on the terrace in the evening.
Die Fereinwohnung Allinuzza war sehr schön gelegen, mit einem herrlichen Ausblick weit ins Land. Wir wohnten dort 1 Woche zu dritt (2 Erwachsene und eine 18-jährige Tochter)Am Abend sah man in der Ferne die Lichter von Florenz. Von Allinuzza aus haben wir täglich Ausflüge in die malerische Umgebung der Toskana unternommen. Die Wohnung war stilvoll und mit allem Kompfort eingerichtet. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und haben nichts vermisst. Der einzige Kritikpunkt wären die Terrassenmöbel. Der Tisch und die 4 Stühle aus Plastik waren äußerst unschön und unbequem, die Liege war auch nicht mehr schön. Schade eigentlich, weil man in lauen Sommernächten so gerne draußen sitzt! Aber ansonsten würden wir das Appartment gerne all unseren Freunden empfehlen. Man kann auf Grund der Größe und der zwei räumlich getrennten Schlafzimmer auch gut mit 4 Personen in Allinuzza wohnen. Der Vermieter war sehr nett, sprach aber nur englisch. Es hat alles gut geklappt.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] The holiday home Allinuzza was beautifully situated with a beautiful view far into the country. We stayed there 1 week, three of us (2 adults and a 18-year-old daughter). In the evening we saw in the distance the lights of Florence. We have made daily trips to the picturesque surroundings of Tuscany. The apartment was stylishly furnished and equipped with all comfort. We felt very comfortable. The only criticism would be the patio furniture. The table and 4 plastic chairs were extremely uncomfortable and unattractive. Too bad, because we love to sit outside on summer nights! But otherwise, we would like to recommend this apartment to all our friends. Because of the size and the two spatially well separated bedrooms, also 4 people would fit in Allinuzza. The landlord was very nice, but spoke only English. Everything worked out well.
