Ved aflysning mindre end 60 dage før planlagt ankomst kan gæsten foreslå en erstatningslejer, som skal godkendes af ejeren som rimelig og økonomisk solvent. Erstatningslejeren indgår kontrakt på samme vilkår, og både oprindelig og erstatningslejer hæfter solidarisk for lejen. Modtagelsesdatoen for aflysningsmeddelelsen hos ejeren eller bookingkontoret afgør, hvilken aflysningsgebyr der gælder; lørdage, søndage og helligdage udskydes til næste arbejdsdag. Ved for tidlig opsigelse af lejemålet forbliver hele lejebeløbet skyldigt.
