An atmospheric log cabin terraced house apartment 2.2 km from the village of Ruka, 1.7 km from the nearest slope and in the immediate vicinity of cross-country skiing trails and snowmobile trails, 29 km from the centre of Kuusamo. The apartment is located in the pleasant Plantinginharju cottage area (between Rukatunturi and road No 5), at the end of a quiet road in a pine-covered landscape. The terrace of the apartment built on the slope offers a view to the southwest. The apartment is perfect for a family or even two couples.
The ground floor of the apartment, built in 2008, has an area of 53 m² and a low loft of 23 m². The living room and kitchen have a fireplace and an air-to-air heat pump (also with cooling function). The bedroom has a 140 cm wide double bed. The spacious, low loft has a double bed (160 cm wide) and two 80 cm wide beds. Located in the wonderful scenery of Ruka, the little cabin is suitable for cabin life or as a base for nature walkers, fishermen and skiers. Built in 1995, the lovely log cottage is located on the shore of Lake Iso-Veskajärvi (not an actual beach), at the end of the road, in your own peace.
The cottage has been completely renovated during the years 2023–2024. Keloveska's kitchen has a refrigerator, an electric oven and an induction hob with two stoves, and the fireplace adds atmosphere to the room. Extendable sofa bed for two people (bed size approx. 150x203). Electric heater in the sauna, shower and toilet in the bathroom. There is an open porch in front of the cottage and a campfire place at the beach.
The distance from the cottage to the fishy Iso-Veskajärvi is about 30 meters. In winter, Ruka's ski trail network can be accessed from the vicinity of the cottage (next to the road leading to the cottage).
