Saarentaus is a charming dry land rental cabin in a peaceful area, ideal for a relaxing getaway.
This destination is meant for peaceful vacations, and guests are expected to respect the peace of the neighbors.
75 km north of Helsinki, public beach is situated on the shore of Lake Hunttijärvi (4.7 km away).
Round log cabin 1991, bathroom facilities renovated in 2014. The cabin features an open-plan kitchen-living room on the ground floor, a glazed terrace, a bathroom with a WC and a shower, hydro massage bath (freely available), as well as an electric sauna.
On the upper floor, there are two bedrooms (without doors in between), one with two double beds and the other with two single beds, as well as a balcony. Please note that all sleeping arrangements are located upstairs.
The water comes from the well all the way inside, but since the well water is not tested every year, it is not recommended for drinking water. The owner supplies customers with drinking water separately before each reservation.
In the yard, there is a wood-burning sauna next to the grill area, and a covered seating area.
The hot tub is available year-round for an extra charge, with a freezing limit of -15 degrees Celsius. Saarentaus

Atmospheric holiday cabin in the Kytäjä manor milieu — only 64 km from Helsinki. Welcome to enjoy the peace of nature and the echoes of history in a stunning setting! Originally built in 1925 and fully renovated in 2017, this idyllic cabin combines modern comfort with traditional charm in the beautiful Kytäjä manor area. With 120 m² of living space, it offers plenty of space for family celebrations, a weekend getaway, or a peaceful remote-working retreat.
The cabin also features its own 20 m² lakeside sauna and a large pier with breathtaking views over the clean and tranquil Lake Suolijärvi — the perfect spot for refreshing morning swims.
Inside the main cabin, you’ll find a spacious kitchen with a dining group for 12 persons, a living room with two sofa beds (140 cm wide when opened), and a separate bright living area. The bedroom includes two 80 cm single beds. The WC and shower facilities also have a washing machine. A gas grill is available on the cabin’s terrace.
The wood-heated lakeside sauna includes a living area with a mini kitchen, fireplace, and a sofa bed (120 cm wide when opened). The sauna building also has a washroom with another WC. The pier has deep water, and the shoreline is steeply deepening and soft — only for people with swimming ability.
Three bicycles are freely available for guests, and the nearby padel courts can be booked free of charge through the owner. Villa Betlehem

110 km to the north from Helsinki in Harviala, Janakkala, this modern 105 m² lakeside villa was built in 2023 by lake Sääjärvi. There is a campfire site and a pier by the lake. The bottom of the lake is soft near the shore, and you can access it for swimming from the pier.
There is a large landscape window which gives a wonderful view of the fishy Lake Sääjärvi. The well-equipped living room and kitchen are open to the ceiling. In addition there are 2 spacious bedrooms on the ground floor. One with double bed (160 cm) and other with bunk bed (2 x 80 cm). Upstairs a large low loft with 2 beds (80 cm). In addition an utility room.
Lakeside sauna, walls made of laminated timber, area 17 m2. In addition, the building has a roofed terrace where you can sit and enjoy the beach view. The sauna has a large wood-burning stove, the tunnel nest of which goes through the wall into the room. This way, firewood can be added from the room side and enjoy the atmosphere of the fireplace inside the room.
The sauna building has no heating, so in winter and when it is cold there is no water in the sauna building and the shower is not in use (December-March). The beach sauna is located next to the main building where you can take a shower.
There is a charcoal grill, which has a smoker and a BBQ grill. A kayak and rowing boat are available for use.

Dette hyggelige træhus i Oitti ligger i hjertet af Finland og tilbyder et autentisk skandinavisk tilflugtssted for dem, der søger ægte forbindelse med naturen. Huset blev bygget i 1993 og huser op til 6 gæster i velindrettede rum, der blander rustik karakter med praktisk komfort. Indretningen omfatter et kombineret stue- og køkkenområde, et dobbeltsoveværelse, et andet soveværelse med 2 senge, et stuerum med en udklappelig sofa til 2 yderligere gæster, et dedikeret badeværelse med bruser og et påklædningsrum. Huset opvarmes af en traditionel træbrænd-sauna-ovn.
Udendørsarealer
En åben terrasse udgør en naturlig forlængelse af boligen og er ideel til afslapning med udsigt over landskabet. Et gasgrillanlæg står til rådighed for udendørs madlavning og spisning under åben himmel. Huset ligger blot 20 meter fra Puujoki-floden, en malerisk vandløb med bund af dybt mudder og ler, delvist sandet langs bredden. En privat båd er tilgængelig for gæsterne, hvilket åbner mulighed for roture, fiskeri eller blot at drive langs den stille flod.
Praktiske oplysninger
Huset råder over en træbrænd-sauna-ovn, som bidrager til den traditionelle finske atmosfære og tilbyder en autentisk badeoplevelse. Badeværelset med bruser og det separate påklædningsrum sikrer, at praktiske behov komfortabelt imødekommes under opholdet. Den private båd, som ligger ved flodbredden, er inkluderet og står til gæsternes disposition.
Afstande og seværdigheder
Huset ligger cirka 90 kilometer nord for Helsinki, hvilket gør det til et tilgængeligt flugtsted fra den finske hovedstad samtidig med, at det tilbyder ægte afzonering og landlig ro. Området omkring Oitti udgør et fredelig udgangspunkt for udforskning af det finske søland- og skovlandskab, med Puujoki-floden, der flyder blot få skridt fra husets dør. Regionen egner sig særligt for friluftsentusiaster med muligheder for sejlads, fiskeri og naturvandringer direkte fra ejendommen, mens det bredere Häme-område er kendt for sit maleriske landskab, kulturelle steder og traditionelt finsk landsbyliv inden for rækkevidde. The cabin is located only 40 minutes drive from Lahti and Hämeenlinna.
On the middle floor, living room/kitchen, bedroom with double bed, living room has heat reserving fireplace.
On the upper floor, double bed and single bed.
On the ground floor, washroom with WC, wood-heated sauna, living area.
In the courtyard a separate sauna building (wood-burning sauna stove). Sauna can be used by prior reservation during May-September.
