Borgo Elena is a lovely villa set high up in the hills above Camucia. We stayed in Apartment 6 which was spacious with amazing views from the bedrooms and sitting room. There is a terrace from the kitchen which was reasonably secluded (the only completely private outdoor space is with Apartment 3). We viewed all the other apartments on the last day which are all beautifully furnished with lots of character. The pool is a good size, good depth for children and regularly cleaned. It also has plenty of comfortable loungers and umbrellas providing essential shade. Again, the views from the pool are spectacular. The owner, Elena, was exceptionally helpful and always at hand. She provided us with a bottle of her own wine on arrival and, at a small cost, we were able to top up our supplies of both wine olive oil (again made by Elena's family) during our stay (great presents too!) She and her father, Mario, were also very sweet with our 5 year old son who ended up not wanting to leave! There are no local amenities within walking distance but Camucia (with 2 supermarkets) is only a 5 minute drive down the hill and the pretty town of Cortona, 5 more minutes further on. We would highly recommend Borgo Elena.
A location with style in an old mansion or castle. Very impressive and the apartment was spacious enough with everything as it should be. Only drawback was the checking in at only 5 pm and when we arrived half an hour early we still had to wait (other places were a little more flexible).
A very pleasant stay.
The Galleria appartment is huge, there is really no way to prepare yourself for the size of the living room/ball room. It occupies an entire wing of the castle. The team on site were very nice and accommodating. The castle is old and needs some more TLC . You can really tell the building is very very old. However the facilities are nice. Getting in there the only thing missing was the butler.... With an apartment this big you need one. The living room is 24 meters from one end to the other. Add 10-11m more before you hit the front door. No AC - but fans do the trick to keep you cool at night.
Het globale gevoel is uitstekend. De ligging is optimaal. De ontvangst en begeleiding bijzonder aangenaam. Bijzonder jammer was dat o.a.door zeer warm weer het zwembad drie dagen onbeschikbaar was. Een mispunt was ook dat in het appartement muizen vertoefden, we vonden dat de beheerder geen efficiente middelen gebruikte om dat te verhelpen. Tot besluit een heerlijk verblijf.
Prachtige ligging en eenvoudige maar goede accomodatie. Het enige minpunt waren de wasmachine en de afwasmachine die niet naar behoren werkten. Vriendelijk onthaal!
Très belle propriété, très confortable et très bien équipée. Des propriétaires très gentils et très attentifs aux besoins de chacun. Une vue devant la maison magnifique. Deux petits points négatifs: un manque d'insonorisation entre les maisons donc parfois un peu trop de bruit des voisins immédiats et la piscine (qui est TB) est plus loin que 300 mètres.

The view outside the house is beautiful. Two minor gripes: a lack of soundproofing between the apartments so it could get a little too noisy with the immediate neighbors and the pool (which is very beautiful) is further than 300 meters.
Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub und der Abschied fiel sehr schwer! Anlage sehr gepflegt. Pool gepflegt. Kontakt mit Vermieter sehr herzlich. Für Kinder sehr gut geeignet. Ein paar Kleinigkeiten waren nicht optimal. Das war aber nicht so wichtig, da sonst alles stimmte.
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We had a great holiday and it was very hard to say goodbye! The property is well maintained. Pool well maintained. Contact with landlord very welcoming. Very suitable for children. A few things were not optimal. But that was not so important, because the rest was just right.
