27 km to the west from Kuhmo, 31 km to the east from Sotkamo, lake Ontojärvi (Heinälahti, Mooseksenmeri) 20 m, length of the lake 25 km, the width of the Heinälahti bay is 170 m, deep beach, sandy bottom, pier, own rowing boat, outboard motor available for rent.
Wooden cottage, built in 1973, renovated and renewed in 2012. There is spreadable sofa in living room, double bed in bedroom (beds can be separated) and spreadable sofa in kitchen. Cabin has also sauna, washroom and glazed terrace. Entrance to the sauna and washroom from glazed terrace.

Located on the side of a stream (30 m) connecting to Iso-Sapsojärvi, a separate log cabin for a peaceful vacation and enjoying nature in Sotkamo.
The cottage built in 2002, living space of 60 m² on the ground floor and 60 m² on upper floor. A separate kitchen corner with an atmospheric wood stove. In the living room kitchen there is a fireplace and a dining set for 6 people. In the living room, a good-sized sofa and an armchair. Upstairs, a motor bed (as a double bed), and 2 x 120 cm wide separate beds, in the same space, but partly demarcated into a sleeping space with wardrobe. From the upper floor there is access to a small balcony, with a view of the courtyard sauna and the stream.
Wood-heated sauna (hot water from the heater) + dressing room. Access to the stream from the sauna is via stairs, and at the end of the stairs is a platform / terrace and a ladder. The courtyard sauna is available all year round. Note the stream is not suitable for swimming (natural mud bottom). On the beach there is a campfire place and a porch with a door. A rowing boat is available to get to Sapsojärvi (distance approx. 400 m), if you are boating, please bring your own life jackets. At the end of the stream, at the head of the promontory on the Sapsojärvi side, there is a good sandy swimming spot available (with another cabin), there are old buildings on the beach that are not used by tenants, but you can otherwise use the beach freely.
Note there is also a separate shed building, with sleeping loft with alternative beds for 2 (if you want privacy). The use of the shed can be negotiated separately with the maintenance. Shed can be available during the summer. Purontupa

Laattajan hirsipirtti is traditional, atmospheric log house/log cabin in the middle of hilly landscapes in Northern Kainuu region. Location is approximately in the center of the triangle, which vertexes are Hyrynsalmi, Puolanka and Suomussalmi.
Log house is suitable for accommodation and for organizing small-scale parties and meetings. Log house has been renovated. Kitchen and WC (with shower) have been renovated in 2022.
There is a shower in the WC.
Two bedrooms, one with double bed, another with double bed, a single bed and a bed for a child. An extra bed in the living room.
Heating is provided by electric radiators in all rooms. In addition, the living room has a large baking oven and wood stove. The second bedroom has fireplace. The WC has floor heating.
In the yard, there is a separate sauna with wood-burning sauna stove. Washing water is traditionally heated in a cauldron. Firewood can be picked up from the woodshed in the yard.
In winter, the yard area is maintained (snow removal) with a tractor. In winter, there is a path on the snow leading to the sauna.
