Villa Celeste is a comfortable apartment situated on the first floor of villa build by Celeste, founder of the family, in the '60 of last century and has been recently restored.
The owners often live in another part of the house with independent entrance.
There is a beautiful garden with flowers, plants, palms; chairs, deck-chairs, table, gazebo - here you can have a rest and taste fine home-made wine.
Villa Celeste has a barbecue, a wood oven for baking pizzas, bread etc.

There are lovely views on the mountains and the valley below from the windows and the garden, it is an excellent way to go for a walk or in mountain-bike. We have olive-wood in the hills too, and we obtain extra virgin biologic oil. We also grow vegetables and fruits. On request it is possible to cook with these products typical dishes of the Lucca area.

Villa Celeste is situated in the countrysde near Lucca, in a residential area; at 150 m you will find the first small shop (grocery/butcher), and also busses to Lucca 2-3 times a day, a post office and the church; at 1 km you will find chemist, doctors, coffe-bar, tobacconist, baker and restaurants.
Lucca at 7 km, Collodi (home of Pinocchio) 15 km, Pisa 20 km, Viareggio (beach) 25 km, Castelnuovo Garfagnana 50 km, Abetone 70 km (ski), Florence 70 km, Siena 100 km.
The nearest airport is the Galileo Galilei in Pisa (about 22 km from the villa); this is connected to lucca by bus, several times a day.
Otherwise Florence airport (A. Vespucci), about 70 km from the house.
Car is essential.

Entrance, living room with fireplace, tv, 1 double sofà bed and 1 single sofà bed; kitchen with all the necessary electrical appliances (cooker, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave oven) and dining room with with table and chairs.
The bedroom is furnished with a double bed.
A comfortable and soft bed, as well as tasty snack, are available for your favorite pet.
There is also a store-room with washing machine.
The bathroom is supplied with shower cubicle and hairdryer.
There are two wide balconies, which overlook the garden.

Our stay at Villa Celeste was phenomenal. At first we were disappointed that it was in flat country and not the hills of Tuscany that we had envisioned. By the time we left we were so thankful that we had chosen this vacation place. This was due to the owners Emilia and Franco and their unbelievable generosity. While we had not ordered any food plan, they prepared a wonderful repast for our arrival, they constantly offered us tomatoes and fresh figs and little pears from their garden, they showed up one morning with coffee and a freshly baked cake, and when I was concerned that there may be no restaurant open on a Sunday they quickly came to us with homemade gnocchi – all of this for no added charge. When I wanted to see a wild and mountainous nearby area but was afraid to drive those roads, they took us for the day. They always looked out for us – if it was to help us with out parcels, or to open the gate for our car when we arrived. The place was so spotless I thought we were the first-time occupants – but they have a vacationing family who have been back 5 times. The kitchen is large with many pots, pans, cutlery, etc. – a great stove, fridge, microwave and washing machine. The bedroom is also large and the bathroom larger than the usual European rental. There is a very nice little side porch that overlooks the garden, palm trees, birds flitting around so that while they faced a fairly busy street the villa was set back with a garden and the traffic did not disturb us at all. When we stayed a second week they did not charge us for new linen. They were simply marvelous and we would definitely return.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt und sehr gut ausgestattet.Sie liegt in einem wunderschönen Garten mit verschiedenen Sitzgelegenheiten, die alle von uns genutzt werden konnten.
Vor allem aber auch die Herzlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft der Vermieter haben uns einen wunderschönen Urlaub ermöglicht.
Der Vermieter bekochte uns mit toskanischen Köstlichkeiten hergestellt mit frischen Produkten aus dem eigenen Garten.
Nochmals herzlichen Dank für die viele Mühe.
Gut fanden wir auch, dass wir von der Wohnung aus nicht weit ans Meer,in die Berge, nach Lucca,Pisa und Florenz hatten.
Wir können die Unterkunft nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

But above all the warmth and hospitality of the owner which made it a wonderful holiday.
The owner cooked a Tuscan meal for us prepared with fresh produce from the garden.

We also found it nice that from the apartment it was not far from the sea, the mountains, Lucca, Pisa and Florence.
