Borgo Antico is a beautiful farmhouse on the high hills that separate the green Valdichiana from the Tiber Valley, located on the border between Tuscany and Umbria. It is the ideal place for those who want to spend a relaxing holiday, in close contact with nature and far from the noise and bustle of the cities.
Moreover, thanks to its position, 600 m above sea level and the large stone walls, the house, even on the hottest summer days, guarantees a cool and comfortable temperature inside, especially on the ground floor.
The Etruscan town of Cortona in Tuscany and the village of Trestina in Umbria are both about 18 km away, while restaurants and small shops for basic necessities can be reached within 5 or 10 km.
You can spend your holiday days bathing in the swimming pool (size 6 x 12 m - depth 1.20-2.40 m, completely fenced in - open from 01st May to 30th September), playing table tennis and enjoying tasty lunches and dinners in the cool gazebo furnished with tables and chairs next to the barbecue and wood-burning oven. Even the youngest children will have fun on the swing and slide.
Pets are welcome (extra charge could be required).
The house is well furnished with Tuscan style furniture. Possibility to taste and buy excellent extra virgin olive oil and other typical products. Since the house is located in a quite secluded position and in order not to miss a single minute of your holiday, for the day of arrival it is possible to request a shopping service with home delivery (to be agreed before arrival).

FIRST FLOOR: accessible only via an external stone staircase, comprising a living room with stone fireplace, three double bedrooms, one bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, and two bathrooms with showers.
ATTIC: accessed via an internal staircase, living room, double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower, bedroom with double bed and single bed and en-suite bathroom with bathtub.
DEPENDANCE: small stone cottage adjacent to the farmhouse, on two levels, with a small living room on the ground floor and a double bedroom with bathroom with shower on the first floor.

Restbeløbet forfalder 45 dage før ankomst.
For reservationer i sidste øjeblik (indenfor 45 dage før ankomst) skal det fulde lejebeløb betales på tidspunktet for reservationen.
I tilfælde af afbestilling af reservationen, selvom den erstattes af en anden, gælder følgende sanktioner:
- det indledende depositum (25% af den samlede leje), hvis afbestillingen foretages mellem bookingtidspunktet og op til 46 dage inden ankomst;
- 100% af den samlede lejepris, hvis afbestillingen foretages fra 45 dage til ankomstdagen eller i tilfælde af ”no show”.

Perfect for our needs, everyone was delighted. The owner, Stefano, is very kind and helpful. The pool was really appreciated. A very quiet and peaceful location with lovely views over the woods and hills.

Nous connaissons bien l'Italie et nous avons loué cette maison pour 2 semaines en juillet en famille (nous étions 9 adultes et 2 enfants) et ce fut un séjour inoubliable. La maison est admirablement située au sud est de la toscane, entre Florence et Assise, avec une vue superbe sur les collines alentour. Ses 7 chambres et ses 5 salles de bain, réparties entre la maison et une annexe, sont idéales pour des séjours en groupe sans se marcher sur les pieds. La piscine est très grande avec une vue sur les collines. Le gérant est très aimable et prévenant. La maison est très bien équipée avec 2 frigos, un lave linge et un lave vaisselle. Un vrai paradis ! Le chemin pour y accéder est certes caillouteux surtout le dernier kilomètre mais tout à fait praticable avec une voiture classique,ce que nous avions tous. Je recommande cette maison sans réserve !

We stayed here for two weeks , last week in June First week in July , I have to say this house is absolutely beautiful , decorated very nicely , has everything you could want for a large group! Pool and gardens are very well maintained and spotless clean , The host Stefano was fantastic to deal with , he even dropped us down breakfast on our first morning, we couldn’t have asked for more ! We had one minor issue which was resolved within 20 minutes of us calling him ! Thankyou Stefano.

Excellent villa where the pictures do not do justice for the environment and view. Everything has been kept in prime condition and suits perfectly a getaway and disconnect from stress.

Really beautiful location with the pool overseeing the mountains. Very nice and helpful host Stefano. The house is really well equiped and has all you need. The only thing to bear in mind is very remote location from shops, restaurants etc. It is about 40 minutes away from Cortona through rural roads. But in exchange you get to spend great vacation in quiet surroundings.

Tre giorni da sogno!!! Il posto è molto isolato, ma questo lo rende ancora più speciale. La piscina, il barbecue, il forno a legna, la casa con tutti i confort ed una vista mozzafiato sulle colline umbre. Spero di riuscire a tornare. I padroni di casa sono super disponibili.

Abbiamo soggiornato a Borgo Antico per Pasqua in 16 persone.
La location, un po' complicata da trovare ma immersa nel meglio che questo territorio offre, è esattamente come descritta: una vecchia casa colonica ristrutturata con maestria e capace di rendere comodo il soggiorno ad un gruppo numeroso con diversi bambini piccoli al seguito. L'area non è enorme ma con ogni confort, una vista bellissima e garantisce la tranquillità di non avere NESSUNO intorno. I gestori sono stati sempre molto disponibili, discreti e puntuali facendoci sentire benvenuti (e la crostata bigusto di benvenuto ha fatto nettamente la sua parte in questo).
Se cercate un posto rilassante per tante persone avete trovato quello che fa per voi.

The location, a little complicated to find but immersed in the best that this area offers, is exactly as described: an old farmhouse restored with skill and able to make the stay comfortable for a large group with several small children in tow. The area is not huge but offers every comfort, a beautiful view and guarantees the tranquility of having NO one around. The managers have always been very helpful, discreet and punctual making us feel welcome (and the welcome bigusto cake has clearly done its part in this).

Het is een heel fijn huis geschikt voor 14 personen. Alleen de keuken daar valt niet te werken of te koken voor een groot groep mensen zoals wij hadden. De afwasmachine was stuk toen wij aankwamen en toen gerepareerd en nog steeds kapot en niet meer vervangen. Dat was een slechte zaak.
