Lucardo is ideal for those who wish to spend a relaxing holiday plunged deep in the Tuscan country-side and – at the same time – wish to be close to the most important and interesting sites in Tuscany, such as Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra and the smaller towns of the Chianti area.
Distances: Fiano with all kinds of shops and excellent pizzeria 1 km away, Montespertoli 8 km, Certaldo 9 km, the beautiful medieval town of San Gimignano 25 km, Florence 40 km, Siena 46 km, Volterra 55 km, Pisa (airport) 80 km away.

Spacious house, peaceful area, lovely views

Very nice, well located and well equipped property. Suitable place for starting trips to Tuscany areas (Firenze, Siena, Chianti, San Gimigano, Voltera). We rented as one couple, but enough place for 2 pairs or families (2 kitchens, 2 bathrooms). It's actually half back part of the house. Very nice owners welcomed us and we could use barbeque equipment. Nice evening spent with backhouse sitting and watching Tuscany sceneries. It’s only very hard to find based on attached instructions. Attaching GPS position for other renters easier to find: 43°35.706’N , 11°6.834’E

This is a lovely property, recently renovated to a very comfortable standard. It is roomy for two people, sufficient for four - and the fact that it has two excellent bathrooms and two kitchens (one very small, which I used as a study)also adds to its value.
The near neighbours are friendly and helpful, the views on both sides of the ridge are spectacular and the property is very well placed to benefit from the breeze rising from the valley over the hillside.
There are no shops in the village of Lucardo, but an excellent restaurant within 50 metres of the house, which served us all well. It has, however, been renamed the Osteria dell'Ignorante, which confused us a little whilst trying to find the property. I would certainly return to this property without any hesitation, and its equi-distance from Pisa and Florence offers a choice of airport.Vil du anbefale denne ejendom til en ven? Ja
The property was really well located in rural Tuscany, about 15 minutes from the Florence/Siena highway. There are a couple of restaurants and small towns nearby, plus the town of Certaldo about 20 minutes down the road with a proper Saturday market, a grocery store and laundromat. Not to mention the wineries around every bend.
The house was spotless, comfortable and the view is beautiful. It's basically the back half of the house and we were able to sit outside every night, overlooking the little olive grove and drinking a bottle of local wine. There's satellite TV, but very little is in English-not that there's much need to watch TV.
We had a lovely time, and if we're lucky enough to spend another week in Tuscany, we would definitely stay here again.Vil du anbefale denne ejendom til en ven? Ja
