Nice complex which has been skilfully restored and turned into charming apartments. The property is situated in quiet location and affords extensive views over the surrounding landscape. This complex comprises 9 apartments which are set in two buildings approx. 150 m away from one another. In addition the property offers following facilities: horse-back riding, a small restaurant, 2 tennis courts, a wellness centre with sauna, Turkish bath and Jacuzzi. Bigattiera 1, 2, 3 and 4 are in a building situated right next to a beautiful pool (open until 19.00), to the riding centre and the restaurant, while the other 5 accommodations are approx. 150 m away, near the tennis courts. The furnishing at Bigattieria 1, 2, 3 and 4 is very nice with some design pieces.
Distances: Galleno with all kinds of shops 2 km, Fucecchio (native village of Indro Montanelli) 4 km, Santa Croce sull’Arno 4 km, the nice town Montecatini Terme with the famous spa approx. 20 km, Pisa (airport) 40 km, Florence (airport) 45 km. In the neighbouring area there are also several outlets where you can buy leather articles, such as jackets, bags and shoes.
At guests’ disposal: Large equipped garden, shared swimming-pool (14 x 7 m – maximum depth 1,4 m – open from 01/05 to 30/09), pool for children (8 x 5 m – depth 0,7 m – open from 01/05 to 30/09). The swimming-pool is also available for peope using the other facilities of the property (tennis-court, horse-back riding..). Within the ground there are 4 private small lakes (fishing facilities) and wonderful horse-back riding facilities with covered area, steeplechase grounds and a beautiful park where we can organize walking tours. On the premises there is a small restaurant where guests can taste nice local recipes (starting from October and for all the winter long is the restaurant opened just over the week end). All of the apartments are provided with air-conditioning and wi-fi internet connection (to be paid on site). Parking within the grounds.
Extra services to be paid on the spot: Baby bed available upon request (€ 20,- / per week). Maid service available by arrangement. Shared laundry. Two tennis courts (€ 15,- / per hour). Wif-fi internet connection (€ 5,- / per day). Bikes for rent (€ 3,- / per hour). Linen change (€ 15,- / per person / per change).

This is an apartment in an holiday estate and not an authentic tuscan villa. The park is nice but the staff is unfriendly. The other three apartments lack any outside space. This one has a nice roof-terrace but comes at a high price. Restaurants in the neighborhood are hard to find. We will not go again!

The villa was absolutely lovely, mainly for its privacy, space and amazing large private terrace. A car is absolutely necessary as the villa is way out in the country. Nearest village for groceries being about 2 kilometers away. The villa and complex was better than described. The pool was cleaned regularly, bar situated at poolside (not expensive). Temperature ideal. Lots of wardrobe and draw space. The only thing which was missing was a full length mirror (perhaps a woman thing) but I'm sure if I had asked for one they would have brought me one. Also perhaps a brighter light would have been good when putting make-up on in the evening when the daylight is going. Most definitely recommend property.

Everything was perfect during our stay at Bigattiera Villa.
Our 10-y.o. daughter was happy with big and clean swimming-pool.
As we are fond of travelling - we were very happy with it's central location: approx. the same distance between Firenze, Lucca, Sienna, Pisa and numerous see-resorts.

Helpful friendly staff, there is even a nice bbq area for common use. There is no such panoramic view from the terrace as one could suggest, if you know for example southern tuscany and lonely villas there. Bu tnice and clean, woul recomment to only book Bigattiera 4 as that is the only one with a terrace. With this kind of weather, an must imho. Very nice pool area, kid's pool, walking grounds, overall rating 9/10. Ideal solution for couples with no kids.
